Russell Crowe

I did an illustrative portrait of the man... the legend... Mr. Russel (the gladiator) Crowe!

This is a scanned image of pen and ink lines on simple drawing paper. I love the way you get the shadows and distorted color from simply multiplying the layer with the lines.

This is the same illustration, but without the lines. Lately I have been doing a lot of illustrations without lines, but this is the first time when I unintentionally did one. It's pretty cool to put them next to each other.

I'm not really sure which one I like better.
